howdy, i’m allison
Life has a knack for leading us down unexpected paths. After grad school (twice—neither time in art), I moved to NYC, gathered stories and experiences, and realized art was a natural extension of my healthiest, happiest self. During the pandemic I transformed my apartment into a makeshift studio and it’s remained that way ever since.
For me, painting is more than the finished piece that you see—it’s is a form of therapy that soothes and energizes in equal parts. Above all, my creative process is instinctual and guided by each day’s frame of mind. That’s what steers me to certain palettes and textures. I like to create art that feels like an animated conversation between paint and its surface, leading me to designs that can shift from vibrant and playful to bold and dramatic.
My home studio assistant is my dog Marzi. If you look closely, you might spot a rogue puppy hair nestled in a painting, an unofficial signature from my four-legged bestie.
As an emerging artist, I’m on a mission to create colorful, whimsical, and textured abstract paintings that invite you to see the beauty in every moment. Each piece is a “note to self” that there is beauty in the everyday quirks of life.

Movement and texture are fundamental to my art.
I love playing with different painting techniques and mixed media elements on large and small scale pieces.
